I love that the exhortation is directly above garbage cans. I think we underestimate the value to the creative process of making mistakes...

Interesting point Marc. I noticed recently that an artists group in Berlin is setting up a symposium to appreciate exactly that sentiment.

I confess there are days when failure seems like a challenging goal! But I guess that, as a culture, we have pretty strong values about that, no matter how much we talk about the creative process allowing for trial and error and failure. Thanks for sharing that link!

It is true, stigmatizing failure is unfortunately codified into our very way of life. It is often referenced, but Sir Ken Robinson's TED talk on creativity in schools speaks to this heavily.
